Terms of Use
Effective October 6, 2026
These terms govern your use of the Unhex app and the unhex.app service, published by Anton Mitrafanau, IE (“we”). They supplement Apple’s Standard License Agreement for apps from the App Store. By using Unhex you agree to both.
What Unhex does
Unhex helps you understand what a transaction, message, website or address will do before you act on it. It decodes requests, simulates transactions, checks public scam databases and contract data, and shows you the risks it finds. It can also hold your own wallet keys on your device and sign requests you approve.
Unhex gives information, not guarantees
- Security analysis can be wrong. Unhex may miss a threat, and it may warn about something that is safe. New scams appear faster than any database is updated.
- A low-risk result means Unhex found no known risk signals. It does not mean a request is safe.
- When data is unavailable, Unhex says so instead of guessing. Treat “Unable to verify” and “Limited analysis” as a reason for caution.
- Nothing in Unhex is financial, investment, legal or tax advice. You decide what to sign and send, and you are responsible for those decisions.
Your keys and your funds
- Unhex is non-custodial. Your recovery phrase and private keys are stored only on your device. We never have access to them and cannot move, freeze or recover your funds.
- If you lose your device and your recovery phrase, nobody can restore your wallet. Write the phrase down and keep it somewhere safe and offline.
- Blockchain transactions are final. Once a transaction is confirmed, we cannot reverse or cancel it. Network fees are paid to the network, not to us.
Third-party services
Unhex connects you to services we do not control: decentralized apps and websites, the WalletConnect network operated by Reown, public blockchain nodes and block explorers. Their content, availability and terms are their own. A dApp being reachable through Unhex is not an endorsement.
Subscriptions
- Unhex Pro is an auto-renewable subscription sold through the App Store. The price and period are shown before you buy.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple ID settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.
- Features in the free plan, and limits on it, may change over time. Protection against an active threat, such as blocking a known phishing site, is never behind the paywall.
Acceptable use
Do not use Unhex for anything illegal, to attack or overload our service, or to resell access to our server. We may limit or block requests that look like abuse.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Unhex available and accurate, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or discontinue features. If these terms change, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Unhex is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any loss of funds or digital assets, lost profits, or indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of Unhex, from transactions you sign, or from threats Unhex did not detect. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Unhex in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you in full.
